Jason launched Drizzle Weather. The company will focus on writing several books, developing school curriculums and producing documentaries to help people better understand how Climate and Weather impacts their daily lives.
Jason joined Fox Weather, the 24/7 streaming services from Fox News as a Meteorologist & Host. His contributions included leading a documentary on turbulence called 'Fasten Your Seatbelts' and helping to cover several weather events including Hurricane Ian, the New Jersey earthquake, Tropical Storm Harold, the solar eclipse, and more.
In addition to his TV work, Jason has extensive radio experience. For several years, his weather reports could be heard on City News 680 in Toronto, Canada. It is consistently ranked one of the top 5 most listened to stations in Canada. His most memorable moment was in 2018 when he helped listeners navigate their way through a Tornado. For two years, Jason worked for WKYC Studios in Cleveland, OH. He joined the station in September, 2019. Each weekend, he co-anchored the weekend news with his wife Romney Smith. In addition to informing Northeast Ohio about the latest storms and temperature changes, Jason reported on various news stories including the Coronavirus pandemic and it's impact to Ohio. Jason has helped Ohioans navigate through
Severe Thunderstorms, Winter Storms and Tornadoes.

Jason took a huge career leap, transitioning from more than 9 years of Reporting and fill-in Anchoring to Meteorology. He returned back to school while also working as a Forecaster for WTGS-TV Fox 28 in Savannah, GA. He not only helped thousands of viewers navigate through Hurricanes Irma, Michael and Florence, he also helped them through countless Severe Thunderstorms, Tornadoes and Winter Weather. He also was a huge advocate of school visits and helping kids understand the value of pursuing STEM careers. He visited more than 60 schools in more than 20 school districts. His efforts led to consist ratings growth during the 10pm newscast during his 2 years.
Jason got his start reporting at the News 12 Networks in NYC. Using that experience, he was able to obtain a Reporter position with WROC-TV, the CBS affiliate in Rochester, NY. After spending two years in Rochester, Jason accepted a general assignment reporter position at WBNS-TV, the CBS affiliate in Columbus, OH. After spending three years in Ohio, Jason relocated to Connecticut in 2013 to work for WFSB-TV Channel 3 Eyewitness News, the CBS affiliate in Hartford. While at WFSB, he reported various breaking news stories and contributed to WFSB’s Investigative Unit and filled in on the anchor desk.
In 2016, Jason became an investigative reporter for NBC Boston and NECN, New England’s 24-hour cable station. He uncovered how landlords in Massachusetts were improperly placing young children on eviction notices, which impacted their ability to obtain credit and future housing.
Jason knew at an early age that a career in broadcasting was his calling. Growing up, he loved to pretend that he was iconic Today show weatherman Al Roker. While on his path to meteorology, he explored several other careers including banking and TV reporting. Jason always knew that someday he’d realize his dream. After studying political science at Columbia University, Jason was offered the opportunity to learn how to manage a bank branch through Citibank’s Management Associate Program. He learned not only how to sell mortgages, checking and investment accounts, but he also learned how to manage a department. At the age of 24, he accepted a position at JP Morgan Chase as one of the youngest branch managers in the nation. There, he managed $25 million in balances, $10 million in investment accounts and a staff of 10
Jason has numerous hobbies including DJing, cooking, traveling, bowling, football, whitewater rafting, wine tasting and acting. He is a huge NFL fantasy football fan and one of the best Spades players you’ll ever meet. You have been warned!
